Order process
When you place an order for a product, your order is subject to product availability. If, after you place your order, there is insufficient stock to fulfil your order, SMARTPHONE ER has the right to cancel your order or any part of your order and refund the purchase price. SMARTPHONE ER will refund the purchase price based on the original payment method (i.e. to your credit or debit card). SMARTPHONE ER reserves the right to refuse to process an order or not to accept a confirmed order in the event of a technical or any other error in the price displayed or in the product information displayed at the time the order was proceeded. The customer will be refunded any monies paid should an order not be accepted.
Payment processing
All transmissions of billing information and data through the SMARTPHONE ER website are encrypted and SMARTPHONE ER takes extensive steps to ensure that any transaction through the SMARTPHONE ER website is secure. You accept that transactions that are performed over the internet may be vulnerable to being intercepted. SMARTPHONE ER will not be liable for any interception that occurs and any loss that is suffered as a result, where SMARTPHONE ER has taken reasonable steps to prevent this happening.
Sale, return and refund policies
SMARTPHONE ER will refund or exchange any online purchases within 7 days from the date of receipt providing the item has not been used or installed and is returned in the original packaging and that the relevant proof of purchase is provided.
A 20% handling fee may be charged on opened / used purchases.
SMARTPHONE ER will give you a refund based on the original payment method used to buy the products.
Pricing changes
SMARTPHONE ER reserves the right, at any time and without prior notice, to make changes to the prices of goods and services that are sold through the SMARTPHONE ER website and to correct any pricing errors that may inadvertently occur. SMARTPHONE ER is not liable for any typographical errors that may occur.
Delivery and collection
We offer a click and collect option, with the below lead time:
- Orders placed before 12pm Monday – Friday will be available for collection from our store the same day.
- Orders placed after 12pm Monday – Friday will be available for collect the following working day.
- We offer a nationwide delivery service for online purchases.
- Online orders take 1 day to process.
- No deliveries or collections are available over weekends and public holidays.
Rates and timeframe
All orders above R500 qualifies for free road freight delivery nationwide (2-3 working days)
Orders above R500 have the following options:
- Express service/same day delivery within Cape Town* (applicable to successful orders placed before 9:30am) R150
- Express service/next working day delivery within Cape Town* (after 9:30am) R130
- Economy service/Nationwide (2-3 working days) R130
- Next working day delivery to Major Cities/Nationwide R150
At times there may be delays with delivery, however you will receive a tracking number to Track your shipment.
Please contact our office within 24 hours on 0210201150 or email sales@smartphoneer.co.za if you should receive your parcel damaged. We require that you keep all packaging and contents as received to submit to the courier company.
SMARTPHONE ER is not liable for any incorrect order or delivery where you make an error in the information that you provide to SMARTPHONE ER e.g. if you provide the incorrect delivery address or submit an incorrect order.
You acknowledge that the delivery of your order may be impacted by events beyond SMARTPHONE ER control such as adverse weather conditions or industrial action. SMARTPHONE ER is not liable for late deliveries of products purchased through the SMARTPHONE ER website. SMARTPHONE ER will, however, try to ensure a smooth delivery process.
Terms and conditions
- We will not be held Liable for any loss of Data. It is the customers responsibility to make sure they have backed up the information. We can offer a backup service at an additional cost.
- Smartphone ER is not responsible for any Tempered Glass that gets removed due to the repair process
- All quotes are valid for 5 working days.
- Repairs carry a 3 month warranty from the date of collection.
- Liquid damage Repairs will carry a 30 day warranty from collection.
- Devices not collected within 90 days of notification to collect, will be sold by OCAmaster South Africa (Pty) Ltd to defray expenses.
SmartphoneER- Smart Pre-Loved Phones
General Terms
By purchasing a Smart Pre-Loved phone from SmartphoneER, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms apply to all devices sold as Smart Pre-Loved, which have been previously owned and refurbished to meet quality standards.
Device Condition
All Smart Pre Loved phones undergo thorough inspection and refurbishment to ensure functionality. Cosmetic imperfections may be present, but these do not affect the device's performance. Each phone is sold as seen, and detailed descriptions are provided at the point of sale.
Warranty
SmartphoneER offers a limited warranty on Smart Pre-Loved phones, covering defects in materials and workmanship for a specified period. The warranty does not cover accidental damage, misuse, Liquid Damage or normal wear and tear. All our Devices are sold with a 24-month warranty Batteries have a 6 month warranty.
The following is not covered under warranty
- Any form of physical damage on the device, including nicks, dents and scratches, no matter how minor they may be. (This is because internal damage may be caused by any form of dropping or impact).
- Liquid damage.
- Power surges due to a power cut or restoration whilst charging, as well as voltage fluctuations.
- Blacklisting of the device.
- Security codes – if you forget your security access codes.
- Data loss
- Factory resets performed by the customer as there is a possibility that this may have been performed incorrectly.
- Any damage as a result of a repair performed by a third-party repair centre that is not iCenter or Smartphone Er.
- Any unauthorised third-party apps or unauthorised manipulation or alteration of the device operating system.
- Physically damaged accessories.
- Wear and tear.
- Accidental damage.
- Acts of God, lightning, water, fire, or any cause beyond the control of SmartphoneER or its supplier.
- Damaged or swollen battery due to overcharging.
- The serial number or IMEI number on the device has been removed / altered / deleted or made illegible.
- The IMEI number on the device does not match the IMEI number on the invoice or the outer casing or SIM holder of the device.
Returns and Refunds
Customers are entitled to return Smart pre-loved phones within 7 days of purchase if the device is faulty or not as described. To initiate a return, the phone must be in the same condition as received, including all accessories and packaging. Refunds will be processed after inspection and approval – Refer to refund policy on the website.
Data and Privacy
All pre-loved phones are factory reset before sale to ensure removal of previous user data. SmartphoneER is not responsible for any residual data or personal information left on the device.
Limitation of Liability
SmartphoneER is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of smart Pre-Loved phones. The maximum liability is limited to the purchase price of the device.
Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of South African courts.
