Apple IRP

What it means to be an Apple IRP?

Apple sells millions of devices every year. If you have a repair shop that wants to specialise in servicing Apple products, becoming an Apple Independent Repair Provider (IRP) would be the best, and in many cases, the only way to accomplish this.

After a long and arduous journey, our dream of becoming an Apple IRP became a reality in October 2021. It might not seem like a big deal to most, but in this article, we explain why it is and how it benefits our die-hard Apple clients!

But first things first…

What Is an Apple IRP?

Apple Independent Repair Providers are repair shops that have passed Apple’s rigorous inspection. To earn the certification, they had to pass a series of exams and receive extensive training on Apple’s products and services.

What Does an IRP Offer?
Apple IRPs offer out-of-warranty repairs for iPhones and Macs.
These companies have access to Apple genuine parts, tools, training, diagnostics, and resources to perform a variety of out-of-warranty repairs for iPhone and Mac, such as iPhone display and battery replacements, and Mac logic board and video card replacements. In addition, these providers may provide their own warranties.

Is it still possible for an IRP to perform third-party repairs?
In a word, yes. IRPs are not prohibited by Apple from providing third-party repair services to customers.
They can still offer the same alternative components they always have. However, these must meet in-house repair standards, which in our case, have never been anything short of excellent. Any trademarks made on behalf of Apple must also be following copyright and infringement laws when used in these repair parts.

What Impact Does Being an Independent Repair Provider Have on Our Service?
Due to some additional security and collaboration requirements set forth by Apple in our agreement, timeframes for Genuine Repair Services could increase slightly. Nevertheless, we still hold customer service (and satisfaction) in the highest regard, which includes returning our clients’ devices to them quickly.
